Understand the run
Sockeye passage is measured at dedicated counting projects. Run timing changes by year, and counts describe upstream passage at a station rather than fish waiting at a certain bend.

Share the bank
Use designated boardwalks or established public access. Leave space for other anglers, respect property boundaries, and keep gear and fish handling considerate.

Always check current limits
Kenai and Kasilof limits and emergency orders are not interchangeable. Verify the current year, exact river section, gear and open dates with ADF&G.
